# CNC Milled Stainless Steel and Aluminum Suspension Brackets

Category: Automotive & Motorcycle Parts
URL: https://www.machined-parts-factory.com/products/automotive-motorcycle-parts/cnc-milled-stainless-steel-and-aluminum-suspension-brackets/

These are suspension brackets, mounts and spacers CNC milled from stainless steel, aluminum or brass plate and bar. Pivot bores are reamed, mounting holes drilled and keyways broached in-house. The parts serve automotive aftermarket brands, off-road builders and OEM suppliers who need custom suspension hardware made from a drawing, from a single prototype to production batches.

- Pivot bores reamed for bushing and bearing fits
- 7075-T6, 6061-T6, 304 stainless or brass
- Broached keyways and splines in-house
- Laser-engraved part numbers available

## How we make it
Brackets are roughed from plate on 3-axis mills, then flipped onto a second fixture for the back side. Pivot bores that carry bushings or bearings are bored or reamed for size and roundness, and their parallelism is controlled because misaligned bores load the bushings unevenly. Internal splines or keyways are produced by broaching, and laser engraving can add part numbers.

7075-T6 aluminum offers yield strength near 500 MPa, close to mild steel at about a third of the weight, but it is less corrosion resistant, so hard anodizing is common. 6061-T6 is cheaper and anodizes more evenly. Stainless 304 suits exposed mounts that should not be painted; carbon steel brackets are typically powder coated or zinc plated. Brass is used mainly for bushings and spacers.

Bore diameters, hole patterns and flatness of mating faces are inspected at first article and on critical features before shipping. Thread gauges confirm tapped holes. Typical uses include shock and strut mounts, sway bar brackets, control arm spacers, limit strap mounts and lift-kit hardware for cars, pickups and side-by-sides, in prototype or batch quantities.

## FAQ
### Is 7075 aluminum strong enough for suspension brackets?
Often yes. 7075-T6 has roughly twice the yield strength of 6061-T6 and is widely used for performance suspension parts. It is less tolerant of fatigue cracks at sharp corners, so generous fillets and good surface finish matter. For high-impact off-road mounts, steel is still the safer choice if weight is not critical.

### Can you make a single prototype suspension bracket?
Yes, our MOQ is one piece. A single prototype lets you check fit on the vehicle before ordering a batch. Prototype brackets usually ship in about 3–7 working days depending on finish. Once fit is confirmed, the same program and fixtures are reused for production, which keeps the parts consistent.

### How do I get a quote for cnc milled stainless steel and aluminum suspension brackets?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
