These are CNC machined metal knobs for guitar volume and tone potentiometers, audio switches and amplifier controls. They are turned from aluminum, brass or steel, with push-on bores for knurled split shafts or set-screw bores for solid shafts. Grips are knurled, numbers are laser engraved, and finishes include anodizing, chrome or gold plating. They suit guitar, amp and pedal makers.

- Push-fit bores for 18- or 24-spline split shafts
- Set-screw bores for solid potentiometer shafts
- Aluminum, brass or steel with plated finishes
- Laser-engraved numbers that stay legible

## How we make it
Guitar knobs are turned on CNC lathes with the bore, skirt and top face machined in one setup. For split-shaft pots, the bore is sized and knurled to grip the 18- or 24-spline shaft with a push fit; for solid shafts, a cross hole is drilled and tapped for a set screw. Dome tops, flat tops and "speed knob" profiles are turned, then knurled or ribbed.

Aluminum knobs are light and come in many anodized colors. Brass knobs are heavier, giving a smoother, damped feel, and are often chrome, nickel or gold plated. Steel knobs plated in chrome resist wear. Laser-engraved numbers through the anodize or plating stay legible for years. Abalone or acrylic top inserts can be fitted into a turned pocket.

Bore fit is tested on the specified potentiometer shaft, as too tight a fit splits the shaft and too loose lets the knob slip. Engraving position and plating quality are inspected on every knob. Typical uses include electric guitar volume and tone controls, bass knobs, tube amp and effects pedal controls, and audio mixer pots.

## FAQ
### Will your knobs fit both split and solid potentiometer shafts?
Each design is machined for one shaft type. Split knurled shafts need a precisely sized push-fit bore, while solid shafts use a smooth bore with a set screw. Tell us the pot spline count or shaft diameter, and we size the bore to match.

### Why choose brass knobs over aluminum on a guitar?
Brass knobs are about three times heavier, which some players feel gives a smoother, more controlled turn and a vintage look when plated. Aluminum knobs are lighter, cheaper and available in more colors. The sound is unaffected; the choice is about feel and appearance.

### How do I get a quote for cnc machined metal guitar potentiometer volume knobs?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
