# CNC Milled Billet Aluminum Motorcycle Parts

Category: Precision CNC Machined Parts
URL: https://www.machined-parts-factory.com/products/precision-cnc-machined-parts/cnc-milled-billet-aluminum-motorcycle-parts/

These are billet aluminum motorcycle parts, including brake and clutch levers, engine covers, footpeg brackets, triple-clamp parts and phone or mirror mounts, CNC milled from 6061 or 7075 aluminum. Tolerances range from 0.01–0.05 mm on critical features, and parts are color anodized. They suit aftermarket brands, custom builders and racing teams wanting stronger, better-looking parts than cast originals.

- Billet grain with no casting porosity
- 7075 for levers and load-bearing parts
- Bead-blast plus color or hard anodize
- Pivot bores bored for smooth action

## How we make it
Billet parts are cut from solid plate or bar, giving a uniform grain and no casting porosity. We rough most of the material quickly, then use finishing passes with ball and bull-nose cutters for smooth contours on visible surfaces. Pivot bores and bearing seats are bored to size for smooth lever action. Cosmetic chamfers and machined patterns are added on the final pass for a sharp, consistent look.

7075-T6 is preferred for levers, clamps and load-bearing brackets thanks to its strength; 6061-T6 is cheaper and fine for covers and cosmetic parts. Anodizing in black, red, blue, gold, orange or titanium tones is the usual finish, often over a bead-blasted base. Hard anodize adds scratch resistance on parts that see boots or gloves. Laser engraving adds logos and part numbers.

Pivot bores and mounting holes are checked on CMM, and fit is tested on sample bikes or mating parts when available. Each cosmetic part is visually inspected after anodizing, with colors matched across the batch. Critical dimensions are 100% inspected. Typical uses include levers, reservoir caps, frame sliders, triple clamps, axle blocks and dash mounts.

## FAQ
### Is billet aluminum stronger than cast motorcycle parts?
Generally yes. Billet parts machined from wrought 6061 or 7075 plate have a uniform grain structure and no casting porosity, so they are stronger and more consistent than typical cast aluminum. The trade-off is higher cost per part at large volumes.

### Can you reverse-engineer an OEM motorcycle part?
We can measure a sample part and create a drawing for your approval, then machine it in billet with your design changes. A 3D scan or CAD file speeds the process. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to reproduce the design.

### How do I get a quote for cnc milled billet aluminum motorcycle parts?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
