Powder Coated Laser Cut and Bent Steel Parts

These are laser cut and CNC bent sheet parts in carbon steel and aluminum, finished by powder coating, anodizing or plating. Typical tolerance on cut features is 0.05–0.10 mm, and samples are usually ready in about 7 days. They suit furniture, equipment, signage and vehicle-accessory makers needing rugged coated brackets, covers and panels without tooling costs.

Manufacturing

How we make this part

Process, material options and inspection for powder coated laser cut and bent steel parts.

Steel blanks are cut by fiber laser with oxygen or nitrogen assist, depending on edge requirements; nitrogen leaves oxide-free edges that coat better. Bends are formed on CNC press brakes with back-gauges for repeatable flange lengths. Before coating, parts are degreased and pretreated, typically with phosphate or a modern conversion coating, which is what gives powder coat its long-term adhesion.

Q235 and SPCC steel are economical, strong and easy to bend and weld. Powder coating gives a thick, tough finish in almost any RAL color and texture, while zinc plating offers rust resistance with a metallic appearance. Aluminum is chosen where weight or corrosion matter more than cost, and it can be anodized instead. Masking keeps threads and earth points free of coating.

Coating thickness is checked with a gauge, adhesion tested on samples, and color compared with RAL references. Bend angles and hole positions are verified at first article, and critical dimensions inspected before shipping. Typical uses include shelf brackets, equipment covers, bicycle racks, sign frames, motorcycle accessory mounts and machine guards.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How long does powder coating last on steel parts?

Durability depends mostly on pretreatment, coating thickness and environment. With proper cleaning, conversion pretreatment and a coating of typically 60–120 µm, indoor parts last many years. For outdoor or coastal use, zinc plating under the powder coat greatly improves corrosion resistance.

Can you match my brand color?

Yes. We match powder coat to RAL or Pantone references, or to a physical sample, within the limits of available powders. Gloss level and texture are specified separately. We can provide a coated sample panel for approval before production.

How do I get a quote for powder coated laser cut and bent steel parts?

Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
