CNC Cut 3K Carbon Fiber Drone Frame Kit
This is a custom UAV frame kit cut by CNC from 3K carbon fiber sheet: bottom and top plates, arms, camera mounts and stack plates. Profiles, motor-mount patterns and lightening holes are cut to ±0.05 mm, so frames assemble without reaming. It suits drone brands, FPV designers and industrial UAV developers moving from prototype to small-batch production.

Manufacturing
How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc cut 3k carbon fiber drone frame kit.
Frame parts are nested on full sheets to reduce waste, then cut on CNC routers with diamond-coated tooling. Motor-mount hole patterns and stack mounting holes are drilled in the same program as the outline, so they stay true relative to each other. Arms receive chamfered edges to protect wiring and reduce crack starts. Pockets for weight saving can be partial-depth on thicker plates.
3K twill sheet is the common choice for frames, offering high stiffness-to-weight and a familiar finish. Arm thickness of 4–6 mm is typical for 5-inch FPV frames, while plates run thinner. Carbon is conductive, so edges near wiring should be chamfered or sealed. Matching aluminum standoffs, motor mounts and arm clamps can be machined alongside the carbon parts for a complete kit.
First-article frames are dry-assembled to confirm hole alignment between plates and arms. Each part is checked for delamination, edge chips and face scratches, and critical hole positions are measured on every batch. Typical uses include FPV racing and freestyle frames, cinematic lift frames, mapping UAV airframes and payload mounting plates.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What thickness should my drone arms be?
For 5-inch FPV frames, 4–6 mm 3K carbon arms are typical, balancing crash survival against weight. Smaller whoops and cinewhoops use thinner plates, while heavy-lift frames may need thicker arms or tubes. We cut to whatever thickness your design specifies and can supply samples for testing.
Can you supply the aluminum hardware with the carbon frame?
Yes. We can CNC machine 6061 or 7075 aluminum standoffs, arm clamps, motor mounts and camera brackets alongside the carbon parts and anodize them in a matching color, so the frame ships as one kit.
How do I get a quote for cnc cut 3k carbon fiber drone frame kit?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
