Stamped and Welded Steel Parts With Painted Finish
These are carbon steel and aluminum sheet parts made by stamping or laser cutting, bending and welding, then painted, powder coated, plated or polished. Typical cut tolerance is 0.05–0.10 mm, and samples are usually ready within about 7 days. They suit equipment, furniture and vehicle-accessory makers who need sturdy, coated steel parts in sample or production quantities.

How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for stamped and welded steel parts with painted finish.
Steel parts begin as laser-cut blanks for samples or die-stamped blanks for volume. Bends are formed on CNC press brakes, and welded joints are MIG or TIG welded depending on thickness and appearance. Weld spatter is removed and seams ground before coating. Parts are hung or racked for painting, and drain holes are added to closed sections so pretreatment chemicals and coating can flow out.
Q235 and SPCC carbon steel offer good formability and weldability at low cost, but they rust without protection. Powder coating gives a durable, thick barrier; wet paint gives finer appearance; zinc plating protects against rust while leaving a metallic look. Aluminum avoids rust and saves weight, at higher material cost, and can be painted or anodized. Pretreatment quality decides coating life outdoors.
First articles are checked for dimensions, weld quality and coating thickness. Adhesion is verified on test panels, and visible faces are inspected under good light. Critical dimensions are 100% checked before packing. Typical uses include equipment brackets, vehicle racks, furniture frames, enclosures, agricultural machine parts, outdoor signage brackets and mounting hardware.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which coating protects steel parts best outdoors?
For outdoor steel, zinc plating or galvanizing followed by powder coating gives the best protection, because the zinc keeps protecting if the coating chips. Powder coating alone over good pretreatment is adequate for many uses. Paint alone is best kept to indoor or cosmetic parts.
Do welded steel parts need special design for coating?
Yes. Closed tubes and boxes need drain and vent holes so pretreatment liquids and coating can enter and drain. Sharp edges hold less coating, so light edge rounding helps. We will flag these points during drawing review.
How do I get a quote for stamped and welded steel parts with painted finish?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
