Precision CNC Machined Parts

CNC Machined Stainless and Brass Electronic Hardware

This is CNC machined hardware for electronic products: PCB standoffs, panel mounts, shield cans, connector housings, heat spreaders and enclosure fittings. Parts are milled and turned in stainless steel, aluminum, brass and steel, then plated, anodized or passivated. They suit electronics manufacturers and contract assemblers who need custom metal hardware that fits their PCBs and enclosures exactly.

Manufacturing

How we make this part

Process, material options and inspection for cnc machined stainless and brass electronic hardware.

Small turned parts like standoffs and connector bodies come from CNC lathes, while milled parts such as shield frames and mounting brackets come from 3-axis mills. Features like countersinks and press-fit diameters are controlled closely so parts install into PCBs or panels without stress. Batches are cleaned to remove oil and chips that could cause shorts.

Brass conducts well and solders easily, which is why it is used for grounding hardware and connector parts, often nickel or tin plated. Stainless steel is strong and non-magnetic in 304/316 form, useful near sensitive sensors. Aluminum is light and good for heat spreaders. Steel is used for magnetic shielding and is zinc plated against corrosion.

Dimensions, threads and plating quality are checked before packing, and parts can be packed in antistatic or clean bags. Critical features are inspected on every lot. Typical products include PCB spacers, panel-mount nuts, RF connector bodies, ground lugs, shield frames, heat spreaders and enclosure hinges for consumer, industrial and telecom electronics.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which plating is best for brass electronic hardware?

Nickel plating gives a durable, corrosion-resistant surface and good appearance. Tin plating improves solderability and is common on terminals. Gold-style finishes are used on high-reliability contacts but cost more. Choose based on whether the part is soldered, crimped or pressed, and its environment.

Is 304 stainless steel magnetic in electronic hardware?

304 is nominally non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but cold working during machining or forming can make it slightly magnetic. For parts near sensitive magnetic sensors, 316 is more stable, or brass and aluminum can be used. Tell us if magnetic permeability is a requirement.

How do I get a quote for cnc machined stainless and brass electronic hardware?

Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
