CNC Machined Stainless Steel Motor Mount Brackets
These are motor mounting brackets, flanges and adapter plates CNC machined from stainless steel or aluminum to fit servo, stepper, gear and AC motors. Pilot bores, bolt patterns and slots for belt tension are held at ±0.05 mm, tighter on pilots when required. Finishes include polishing, powder coating and anodizing. They suit automation integrators and machine builders mounting motors to frames and gearboxes.

How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc machined stainless steel motor mount brackets.
A motor bracket's job is to hold the motor shaft square and concentric to the driven part. We machine the pilot bore and mounting face in one setup so the motor axis is perpendicular to the base. L-shaped brackets are milled from solid or from angle stock, and adjustment slots for belt tension are cut with end mills to clean, parallel edges. Clearance for cables and fans is checked against your motor model.
304 stainless brackets suit washdown, food and outdoor machines and stay rigid at modest thickness. Aluminum 6061 brackets are lighter, cheaper and dissipate motor heat well; anodizing protects them. Powder coating adds color and covers non-precision faces, while pilots and mating faces stay bare or are masked. Heavier motors may need gussets, which can be integrated into the machined design.
Pilot bore diameter, perpendicularity to the base face and bolt-pattern position are checked on CMM at first article. Critical dimensions receive 100% inspection in production, and inspection data is provided on request. Typical uses include NEMA 17, 23 and 34 stepper mounts, servo motor flanges, conveyor drive brackets, pump motor adapters and robotic actuator mounts.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you make brackets for standard NEMA motors?
Yes. We machine brackets for NEMA 17, 23, 34 and larger frame sizes, plus metric servo and IEC flange patterns. Give us the motor model or flange drawing and the mounting arrangement, and we will design or check the bracket to fit.
Should a motor bracket be stainless or aluminum?
Aluminum is lighter, cheaper and conducts heat away from the motor, so it suits most automation. Stainless steel is better for washdown, food processing, outdoor equipment or heavy motors where stiffness at small size matters. Both can be machined to the same design.
How do I get a quote for cnc machined stainless steel motor mount brackets?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
