CNC Machined Stainless Steel Pump Components
These are CNC machined pump components such as shafts, casings, end covers, wear rings and seal housings in 304/316 stainless steel, with aluminum, brass and plastic also available. Fits and sealing faces are held down to ±0.01 mm, and parts are passivated, polished or plated. They are for pump and fluid-system manufacturers and maintenance teams replacing or upgrading wetted parts.

How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc machined stainless steel pump components.
Pump parts mix turned and milled features. Shafts are turned between centers for concentric bearing and seal journals, and keyways are milled. Casings and covers are milled for volute shapes, bolt circles and gasket faces, with bores finished in the same setup as the flange. Wear-ring clearances are cut precisely because they directly affect pump efficiency. Seal-face roughness is controlled by finishing passes.
316 stainless is common for wetted parts in water, seawater and chemical service; 304 is acceptable for clean water. Where shafts face wear, 17-4PH heat treated stainless gives higher hardness. Brass and bronze suit some water-pump impellers and bushings, and engineering plastics such as PTFE or PEEK can serve as wear rings. Passivation restores corrosion resistance after machining.
Journal diameters, runout and seal-face flatness are checked at first article, and critical fits are 100% inspected. Material certificates support traceability for wetted parts. Typical uses include centrifugal pump shafts, mechanical seal sleeves, end covers, wear rings and metering-pump heads. Parts are cleaned and packed to protect seal faces, and replacement batches can be repeated from the same approved program and inspection plan.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you make replacement parts for an existing pump?
Yes. With the original drawing we can machine directly. Without one, we can work from a sample by measuring and drawing it, then send the drawing for your approval before production. Note the pump model and operating conditions so material choices suit the service.
Which stainless grade is best for a pump shaft?
316 stainless is a good general choice for corrosion resistance. Where the shaft runs in bushings or under heavy load, 17-4PH in a heat-treated condition provides much higher strength and wear resistance. 304 is economical for clean water and light duty.
How do I get a quote for cnc machined stainless steel pump components?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
