CNC Machined Steel Machine Tool and Equipment Parts
These are CNC machined parts for machine tools and industrial equipment, including slide plates, gibs, spindle spacers, tool-holder bodies, adapter plates and guard brackets. We produce them from carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, brass and aluminum. They are aimed at machine builders and maintenance teams who need replacement or custom parts with smooth sliding surfaces and accurate mounting features.

Manufacturing
How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc machined steel machine tool and equipment parts.
Sliding and locating parts on machine tools depend on flatness and parallelism more than anything else. We face-mill reference surfaces first, then machine the rest of the part from them. For hardened parts, a finishing pass after heat treatment brings the surfaces back into tolerance. Smooth surfaces on slide plates and gibs are produced with fine finishing passes, giving roughness suitable for sliding contact.
1045 and 4140 steels are used for slides, gibs and holders, often hardened for wear. Q235 suits guard brackets and lightly loaded plates. Brass is a traditional gib and wear-strip material because it runs smoothly against steel. Aluminum is used for covers and light adapter plates. Black oxide, chemical blackening or nickel plating protect steel parts from coolant corrosion.
Flatness and parallelism are measured on a surface plate with height gauges and on a CMM, and surface roughness is checked on sliding faces. Every critical dimension is inspected before shipment. Typical uses include lathe cross-slide gibs, milling machine adapter plates, spindle spacers, quick-change tool holders, fixture base plates and guard mounting brackets.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you reproduce a worn machine tool part without a drawing?
Often yes. We measure the part, model it and send a drawing for your approval, noting where wear has changed dimensions. Mating parts or the machine's manual help us restore original sizes. Material and hardness are matched to the original when possible.
Why are brass gibs used on machine slides?
Brass slides smoothly against steel, holds oil and wears in a controlled way, protecting the more expensive cast iron or steel ways. It is easy to machine and adjust. For heavy loads, bronze or hardened steel with a low-friction coating can be alternatives.
How do I get a quote for cnc machined steel machine tool and equipment parts?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
