CNC Turned Brass Valve Bodies and Threaded Pipe Fittings
These are brass valve bodies, elbows, adapters and threaded pipe fittings turned and milled from free-machining brass bar or forged blanks. Ports are drilled, threaded to NPT, BSP or metric standards and sealed faces are finish-turned. They are made for valve, plumbing, gas and fluid-system manufacturers who need custom fittings to their own drawings.

How we make this part
Process, material options and inspection for cnc turned brass valve bodies and threaded pipe fittings.
Simple fittings are completed on CNC lathes with live tooling, so cross holes and wrench flats are cut in the same setup as the threads. Valve bodies with several ports are turned first and then moved to a 4-axis mill for side ports. Threads are single-point cut or tapped and checked with go/no-go gauges, while seat surfaces get a final light pass for low roughness.
C36000 free-cutting brass machines fastest and leaves a clean finish; H59 and H62 are common Chinese equivalents with slightly different copper content. For potable water, low-lead brass can be specified on the drawing. Bare brass tarnishes, so nickel or chrome plating is common for visible fittings, while internal fluid paths are usually left as machined after deburring and cleaning.
Each batch is checked for thread fit, port position and seat concentricity, and pressure-relevant dimensions are inspected before shipment. Material certificates are available on request. Typical uses are ball and check valve bodies, compression and hose barb fittings, gas regulator housings, manifold blocks and adapters joining metric to imperial threads.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can you machine NPT and BSP threads on the same fitting?
Yes. Adapters that join an NPT port to a BSP or metric port are a common request. Each thread is cut to its own standard and checked with the matching ring or plug gauge. Please state the thread size, class and any sealing requirement, such as a 60° cone or O-ring groove, on the drawing.
Do you pressure test brass valve bodies?
We inspect the dimensions that control sealing, such as seat geometry, thread fit and surface roughness, on every batch. Functional pressure or leak testing can be arranged if the test pressure, medium and acceptance criteria are defined on the drawing or in the purchase order, so please include those details when requesting a quote.
How do I get a quote for cnc turned brass valve bodies and threaded pipe fittings?
Send a 3D model (STEP or IGES) and a 2D drawing with tolerances, material, finish and quantity through the quote form or by email. An engineer replies within 24 hours on business days with price, lead time and any DFM suggestions.
